Fuji Prescale Film
Prescale mat
Introduction:
Applications who will require to measure pressures lower than 2 kg/cm²
(0,2 MPa is the minimum readable range offered by LLLW type film), could
be satisfied by the combined use of LLW type Prescale film (super
low pressure), used in conjunction with a special elastic mat. By mean
of such pair of items is possible to measure pressure
ranges from 100 gr/cm²
to 5 kg/cm²). The measuring principle is very simple since
the mat is equipped with several regularly spaced conical protusion who
stay in contact with the LLW Prescale film. When pressure is acting
on the Prescale mat, the summit contact area of mentioned protusion
change, increasing diameter as pressure increase. These summit area broke
the film capsule and consequntly the film will be impressed with as bigger
dots, as bigger the pressure applied. The size of impressed dots could
be compared with a reference table in order to ensure the measured pressure
value.
Prescale mat method of use:
Depending from your application cut appropriately (by required size
and shape), and place in position the LLW super low pressure Prescale
film, and place the Prescale mat over the film pair, as shown by
side figure. In placing correclty the A and C films please refer to supplied
instruction sheet. Apply pressure and when completing your phenomenon
under measurement, immediately peel of both A and C LLW Prescale
films and visually compar the impresse red dots diameter with the supplied
pressure conversion dot mark table.
